PROGRAM PROFILE
Student admission to Business Administration Department of Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration started at the beginning of the 2014-2015 academic year. Our department’s mission is to provide superior and distinctive education to students with the new campus, well-equipped buildings, innovative and experienced faculty staff. The aim of our department is to provide high-quality education. To succeed this, our academicians constantly improve and renew themselves.
Department of Business Administration targets to educate and supply work force, which endowed with contemporary business, entrepreneurship and management formation and skills, that public and private sectors need. The department is responsible hierarcially Deanship of Faculty and Rectorship and final decisions are made by sending to the relevant board of Deanship and Rectorship. The students are educated for several positions in both public and private sectors. The stakeholders that department of business administration interacts are Capital Markets Board, State Planning Organisation, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Finance, and particularly banking sector, universities, research instututes.
In addition, students who successfully complete the Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration of Department of Business Administration can continue their education and academic careers in graduate programs in higher education institutions providing that they provide certain qualifications.
The department tries to serve the best for the students with its qualified academic staff. In the department, the granted projects are carried out. It also contributes to the economic, socio-cultural development of the region and contributes to the employment market of country with its educated students and to the science world with its qualified academic researches.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
The one, who graduates from the Department of Business Administration in the Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration of Mugla University.
1.Gains advanced knowledge about management, marketing, finance, production, quantitative methods and accounting which are the sub-disciplines of business administration. Becomes skillful at analyzing and interpreting the data, defining the problems and offering the solutions by using knowledge gained regarding business life.
2.Expresses his thoughts and suggestions in written and verbal forms in Turkish and in other language with European Language Portfolio minimum B1 level, communicates effectively with the stakeholders in business life.
3.Becomes skillful at using information and ommunication technology with minimum European Computer Driving Licence in advanced level and at transfering his up to date knowledge about business to other personnel and team mates.
4.Be conscious about quality, business ethics and social responsibility, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, social rights and social justice and works in line with this awareness in the business.
5.Be open to changes, entrepreneurship, leadership, and thinks analytically and critically.
6.Becomes skillful at life long learning. Carries out studies regarding business topics.
7.Runs a project as an executive or participant. Defines aims for the organization in which he belongs.
EMPLOYMENT PROFILES of GRADUATES
 
The range of employment possibilities of Business Administration graduates is quite wide because of the applicability and availability of courses in the program into practice. The employment possibilities in both public and private sectors are: Banks, especially SMEs and entrepreneurship, accountancy, inspectorship, and various institutions like State Planning Organisation, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ministry of Labor etc.
TRANSITION to UPPER LEVEL PROGRAMS
The students who succeed in bachelor level further in his postgraduate with thesis or non-thesis, in formal or evening education and distance education in case they succeed in Academic Postgraduate Exam, have sufficient English level and succeed in the exams offered by related institutions.
TEACHING PLAN
It is needed to have the courses in a term with 30 ECTS for the program.
EXAMS, ASSESSMENT and EVALUATION
Exams consist of mid-terms, final exams, excuse exams, repeat exams, exemption exams and one course exam.
Mid-terms: There are mid-term exams for the courses that exist in every term. 40% of a mid-term exam is considered.
Final exams: There are final exams to test academic success at the end of the term. 60% of a final exam is considered.
Excuse exams: If a student has a valid excuse for the mid-term or final exams, related board allow for excuse exams. For the excuse exams, student must submit a petition, which explains the excuse, in 3 days to deanship/ management. Moreover, the excuse should be approved by related board.
Repeat exams: Students may take repeat exams for the courses, which are graded as FD or FF that they fail and which are graded as DD or DC that they pass, at the end of term. The point of a repeat exam substitutes for the final point of that course. The percentages of mid-term and repeat exams are assessed in the same way as final exams. For the repeat exams, final point is considered regardless of what was graded before.
Exemption exams: Exemption exams are set for the courses defined by the senate on the specified dates in academic calender.
One course exams: They are for the students who failed in one course and will graduate in case of succeeding in that course. Moreover, the students may take one course exam to increase their own average score, although they succeed all of the courses in the program, for the reason that they cannot graduate due to grade point average is less than 2,00. To take one course exam for graduation, a petition should be given to the head of department. One can take this exam only once.
For every course, students are graded at the end of the term as below by the lecturer of the course.

The assessments apart from the above, TT means failure becausse of absenteeism, MM means exemption for the course, GG success in course, KK means failure in the course, VV means abolished course. The students are graded as “TT” if they are absent in the courses and/or applied courses. The students, who succeed in Foreign Language Proficiency Exam, are exempt from the required foreign courses (English, German, French) and graded as “MM”. The students who succeed in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “GG”. The students who fail in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “KK”. For the courses which are abolished from the education program are graded as “VV” with the proposal of head of department and with the decision of board.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS
Students must succeed all of the courses exist in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS) and grade point average must be minimum 2,00 over 4,00.

OPPORTUNITIES OF DEPARTMENT
1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 4 Assistant Professors, 3 Research Assistant work in the department. There are 13 classes.  Additionally, there are two computer laboratories and one conference hall.
