In recent years, our world and our country have been in a climate change on a large scale. The cause of global climate change is generally based on human causes. In despite of the damage we have caused in the nature, we are of the opinion that there are small but effective measures that we can all take, such as protecting green areas and planting activities. Today, the development criteria of cities and towns around the world are determined by their green areas and the importance they give to the environment.
In the light of these ideas, while our Faculty continues to contribute to the city both economically and socially by integrating the ideas and techniques produced in the light of science with the knowledge and experience of other public institutions and NGOs in our district, we aim to be beneficial to our district and our university with our social responsibility projects. In this context, we carried out an afforestation event in our faculty campus. As the result of the visits and meetings which have been made by our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Füsun ÖZERDEM since the first day she was appointed, we took the first step towards becoming a more beautiful and greener campus. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ÇİÇEK, Rector of our University; Eyüp FIRAT, District Governor of Fethiye; İsmail AYHAN, Fethiye District Police Chief; Directorate for Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feray KOCA and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Rıfat KAHYAOĞLU, Rector’s Advisors, participated in our afforestation event. We would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail ÇINAR for his assistance in the landscape work, and all the faculty deans, school principals, academic and administrative staff of our university working in the district of Fethiye. We would like to thank Mr. Hakan DUMAN who is the Director of Fethiye Forestry Management and his valuable staff for the support they provided to our Faculty in this important event that we held on the 25th of May, 2021. We will continue to work together for our university and Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration.
